These values still form the foundation of our company today. BDA Inc. has grown from its humble beginnings to a staff of over 70, with projects valued at over $80 million. We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Etobicoke, On.
Responsibilities
A Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the overall success of assigned projects including:
- Manage construction projects from start to finish as per Contracts.
- Be accountable for project budgets and cost control.
- Complete thorough contract reviews. Ensure all required project start-up documents are submitted and accepted by clients and consultants before commencement of projects.
- Negotiate and issue Subcontracts, Contracts to subcontractors and manage trade contracts.
- Obtain police background checks/clearances from all project team members including subcontractors and suppliers as required.
- Prepare and submit construction project budgets.
- Prepare and maintain detailed construction schedules.
- Prepare and submit cash flow projections.
- Monitor and control project costs and progress to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
- Track and document any delays in projects; prepare and submit compensable time extensions to clients and consultant teams for approval.
- Supervise site superintendents to implement quality control programs.
- Work with H&S manager to implement company safety program.
- Represent company at site meetings and chair and take minutes at site meetings.
- Maintain daily communications with clients and consulting teams to resolve all issues during the construction period.
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
- Prepare progress billings and submit to clients and consultants for payment process.
- Review and approve all invoices from sub-contractors before releasing payments against contract amounts.
- Prepare, negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Plan and coordinate project close-out procedures at the completion phase.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or College degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of Project Management experience preferred.
- Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans.
- Strong multi-tasking ability.
- Detail Oriented.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
- Strong computer skills, emphasis on Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Excel.
