Job description

Our client is seeking an Integration Project Manager to join our Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team. The CRE team is accountable for WestJet's global and network-wide corporate real estate and facilities portfolio, delivery of world-class infrastructure and asset management as well as operational excellence in support of our guests, shareholders, and business partners.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Real Estate, the CRE Integration Project Manager will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the physical on-site real estate, facilities, and IT enablement of facilities at select locations across our national and international portfolios. This role involves strong project management skills, high attention to detail and excellence, strong multi-tasking, and a positive and productive approach to collaboration and coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Business Purpose:

Specifically, the role will be focused and committed as an additional team resource capacity for the performance of corporate real estate and facilities enablement and other related airline integration activities for our Airport and Technical Operations portfolios, ultimately contributing to a seamless transition of Sunwing's corporate real estate portfolio under WestJet with improved efficiency, effectiveness, and cost savings.

The Integration Project Manager will exhibit high standards of excellence, enjoy challenges, and be highly results-oriented.

CRE team support in the physical enablement of required airport-related facilities and business needs across WestJet and Sunwing's integrated network.

Must Haves:

  • 5-8 years of construction project management experience with strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Relevant post-secondary education or combination of education and experience. Willingness to travel 50% (or more) nationally and internationally as required.
  • Experience working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Nice to Haves:

  • Familiarity with aviation facilities, infrastructure, and related services.
  • Delivery of projects in national and international locations.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to perform tasks accurately, efficiently, and with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder engagement skills with internal stakeholders, landlords, vendor/service providers, consultants, and various business team leaders.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to understand complex issues by breaking them down to their simplest components, conceptualizing solutions, and clearly communicating to varying audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated creative, innovative, and critical thinking.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and balance multiple initiatives and projects with varying levels of complexity and competing priorities and timelines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and consistently provide results.
  • Collaborative, consultative style with a strong customer-service mentality and an upbeat, motivated self-starter and independent worker that is collaborative and supportive of the CRE team.
  • Focused on being outcome and solutions-oriented and consistently meeting expectations, deadlines, and maintaining a commitment to quality of work.
  • Proficiency knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams).
  • A willingness to work outside a normal work schedule to meet operational and project schedules, when required.

Additional Information:

  • Willingness to travel (nationally and internationally) for work approximately 50% or more.
  • The project manager must obtain and maintain the appropriate level of Airport Security Clearance (RAIC).
