We are looking for a knowledgeable and reliable Construction Operations Manager to lead our dynamic team in Kelowna – while growing the team and ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.

Position

The duties of the Construction Operations Manager are as follows:

  1. Build the business with a “customer is always right” approach.
  2. Foster and grow a positive team environment.
  3. Plan, organize, and direct construction projects from start to finish according to schedule and specifications.
  4. Willingness to travel to different construction sites.
  5. Prepare and estimate budgets for prospective construction projects.
  6. Plan and prepare construction schedules and monitor progress against established schedules.
  7. Update clients with progress reports for projects.
  8. Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients and suppliers.
  9. Develop and implement quality control programs.
  10. Represent company on contract negotiations.
  11. Direct the purchase of building materials.
  12. Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and construction staff.

Requirements

The job requirements for Construction Operations Manager are as follows:

  1. At least one (1) year of experience working in a construction management role within a construction franchise environment.
  2. At least ten (10) years of construction management experience, including the following:
    1. Deck Construction.
    2. Collaborating with other construction industry professionals to complete projects.
    3. Managing costs, schedules, construction workers and budgets.
    4. Allocating resources.
    5. Following, implementing and managing safety and quality control measures.
    6. Participating in contracts negotiation and the purchase of building materials.
    7. Leading and fostering a positive team environment.
    8. Implementing impeccable customer service standards.
