Kleinfelder's Raleigh, NC office is seeking a Technician II to join our growing team.

We're looking for an experienced materials testing technician with a minimum of 1 year of specific experience in materials testing to join our team supporting owners on some of the largest projects in Raleigh, NC. This position is actively engaged on construction sites and in-office, testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to the applicable codes, project plans and specifications. This role offers a dynamic work environment, the opportunity to work on multiple high-profile jobs and gain valuable experience.

Required Certifications include:

  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I
  • Nuclear Gauge / Troxler

Preferred Certifications:

  • NCDOT Certifications
  • ICC Special Inspector Certifications (Concrete, Masonry, Soils, etc.)
  • NICET Levels 1-3 (soil, asphalt, concrete)

The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring. This is a career opportunity to become a member of a highly successful, fast-paced team with a steady and growing backlog of large signature projects in the Raleigh area. This role will also include:

Must be able to use a tablet and have a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required, along with a willingness to travel throughout North Carolina.

Education: Certifications and experience related to Special Inspection and Materials Testing or a 4-year degree in Engineering, geology or environmental science or graduation date within one year of employment.
