Full Job Description
Job Purpose
Plan and manage day-to-day construction activities in a petrochemical setting. Monitor and steward progress and safe execution of field activities. Take corrective action as necessary.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Confer with Project Manager, Field Superintendents, estimating group and other team members to determine project construction requirements.
- Facilitate and contribute to the development of project plans and designs such as API storage tanks, structural steel fabrication, and process piping.
- Ensure project execution and construction plans meet safety expectations.
- Support job superintendents in ensuring all field activities and workers meet all safety requirements.
- Develop/support construction specifications and procedures.
- Establish, monitor, maintain, and update project work schedules.
- Coordinate schedules, equipment, and labour on projects.
- Prepare periodic progress and cost reports for management and clients.
- Support change management on lump sum contracts, and labour/equipment/materials timesheets on Reimbursable Cost agreements.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years in a petrochemical environment (refinery, chemical plant) - (Prerequisite)
Construction/project management experience in an industrial environment (petrochemical plant). (Prerequisite)
Knowledge of mechanical and piping engineered drawings, project and construction management, attention to detail, problem solving, self-motivated, excellent time management. (Prerequisite)
