Job Purpose

Plan and manage day-to-day construction activities in a petrochemical setting. Monitor and steward progress and safe execution of field activities. Take corrective action as necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Confer with Project Manager, Field Superintendents, estimating group and other team members to determine project construction requirements.
  2. Facilitate and contribute to the development of project plans and designs such as API storage tanks, structural steel fabrication, and process piping.
  3. Ensure project execution and construction plans meet safety expectations.
  4. Support job superintendents in ensuring all field activities and workers meet all safety requirements.
  5. Develop/support construction specifications and procedures.
  6. Establish, monitor, maintain, and update project work schedules.
  7. Coordinate schedules, equipment, and labour on projects.
  8. Prepare periodic progress and cost reports for management and clients.
  9. Support change management on lump sum contracts, and labour/equipment/materials timesheets on Reimbursable Cost agreements.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years in a petrochemical environment (refinery, chemical plant) - (Prerequisite)

Construction/project management experience in an industrial environment (petrochemical plant). (Prerequisite)

Knowledge of mechanical and piping engineered drawings, project and construction management, attention to detail, problem solving, self-motivated, excellent time management. (Prerequisite)
