Job Description

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Identify client objectives and expectations and make recommendations accordingly
  • Manage bookings calendar with prospective and definite events
  • Coordinate event details, menu plan, and other requirements
  • Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders during the event planning process
  • Coordinate and communicate all event set-up and dismantling logistics
  • Create, control and maximize event budgets
  • Carry out site inspections throughout the planning process to ensure compliance with customer standards
  • Coordinate orders and rentals with external vendors
  • Accurately complete financial billing processes
  • Evaluate overall event success and report results
  • Other duties as assigned and operationally required

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • 1-3 years of experience in event management, preferably in hotel or conference centres
  • Bilingual in French & English both spoken & written is required
  • Exceptionally service-oriented
  • Well-organized multi-tasker
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Software skills include Delphi, Social Tables, Microsoft Office
  • Must be a self-starter, able to take initiative, running projects from start through to completion with minimal oversight
