Computer Aided Design Specialist

The ideal candidate will have experience with creating 2D and 3D drawings using CATIA V5, V6.

Responsibilities

1. Download customer information: 2D & 3D data, engineering standards & specifications.
2. Create 3D models (proposals, studies) and 2D associated drawings.
3. Responsible to ensure CAD data is released properly through Teamcenter PDM system.
4. Preparation of Design Specifications.
5. Support detailed engineering analysis using available methods (FEA, Tolerance Stack up, Packaging Studies).
6. Data Management.
7. Support all Engineering Change activities related to 2D & 3D data (uploads, data revisions and engineering levels data comparison, component drawings creation & updates).

Qualifications

1. 2-3 + years experience with CAD Design.
2. Ability to identify design engineering requirements.
3. Ability to create necessary prints for departments or customers as required.
4. Participates in continuous improvement activities through the Kaizen philosophy.
5. Experience creating 2D and 3D drawings using CATIA V5, V6.
6. Strong skills in CAD modeling and drafting (GD&T, assemblies, specifications).
7. High technical proficiency in part design and problem-solving.
8. Software proficiencies must include CATIA, NX, Teamcenter, and Ansys.
9. Excellent written and communication skills.
