Compliance and Security Engineer

I`m hiring a Compliance and Security Engineer on behalf of a leading global provider of cybersecurity solutions, specializing in hardware security modules (HSMs) and related services.

With a focus on safeguarding sensitive data and cryptographic keys, their innovative products cater to diverse industries, including finance, healthcare, and government.

The company is committed to delivering robust, scalable, and customizable security solutions to protect digital assets and ensure the integrity of critical information in an increasingly interconnected world.

In this role you will be responsible for:

1. Leading and managing compliance and certification processes for cyber security services - you will act as the primary liaison for external auditors and certification bodies
2. Development, implementation and improvements of compliance processes and ISMS
3. Security and risk management - identification and assessment of security risks related to the company's Trust-as-a-Service platform. You will then provide recommendations to mitigate these risks
4. Support in the implementation of security controls, hardening and encryption
5. Conduct vulnerability and patch management processes
6. Ensure the enforcement of security best practices

This role is remote from anywhere in Germany.

Essential:

1. Relevant Bachelor's degree e.g. Cyber Security, Computer Science etc.
2. Several years of professional experience working with security compliance and regulatory frameworks
3. Hands on experience working with ISMS
4. Experience working with and implementing frameworks such as ISO 27001
5. Knowledge of network topologies
6. Hands on experience with Vulnerability Scanning and Penetration Testing
7. Knowledge of Cryptography and IDS configuration
8. Proactive and solution-oriented thinking
9. Fluent written and spoken English

Desirable:

1. Fluent German speaking - if not you will be expected to take German language lessons
2. Experience working with other frameworks such as PCI-DSS and NIST
3. Relevant certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementor, CISM, CISA etc.
