Job Title: Compliance and Data Security Manager [#4694]

Job Description: Alteo is looking for a Compliance and Data Protection Manager for a permanent position based in Montreal.

Your main role will be to ensure that the company complies with its customers' legal and regulatory requirements, particularly in terms of regulatory watch, contractual review, and data protection management in line with current regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Watch:
    • Monitor and track legislative and regulatory developments relevant to each customer.
    • Analyze the impact of these developments on the company's activities.
    • Implement internal communication mechanisms to ensure compliance.
  • Contract Review:
    • Review customer contracts to identify compliance obligations.
    • Work with legal teams to negotiate compliance clauses where necessary.
    • Ensure contractual commitments are respected.
  • Data Protection Management:
    • Develop and implement a data protection management framework compliant with regulations (e.g., RGPD).
    • Oversee the collection, storage, and processing of personal data in accordance with legal requirements.
    • Respond to customer queries on data protection issues.
    • Manage data protection-related compliance for customers located outside the EU, taking into account the legal requirements specific to these regions.
    • Collaborate with local experts as required to ensure compliance.
  • Reporting and Communication:
    • Prepare compliance reports for management and customers.
    • Communicate proactively on compliance issues with internal and external stakeholders.

Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent.
  • 4-8 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the electronic payment industry.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and international standards.
  • Organizational experience.
  • Understanding of the banking business.
  • Knowledge of data protection and compliance.
  • Customer focus and respect for commitments.
  • Initiative and problem anticipation skills.
  • Ability to ensure quality reporting and be involved in quality processes.
  • Strong relational skills and team spirit.
  • Flexibility and ethical conduct.
