Job description

On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Compliance Analyst (SharePoint Focus) to join our Client's team on a 12-month contract basis. This role is Hybrid (2 days onsite per week, no remote work) and the Client is based in Burnaby, BC.


Summary of the Role

The Compliance Analyst supports reporting and analytics projects, maintains and designs SharePoint sites, and ensures corresponding processes align with business needs. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize SharePoint functionality, facilitate data migration, and enhance compliance-related reporting.


Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Implement reporting and analytics projects related to compliance functions.
  2. Maintain, design, and optimize SharePoint sites, ensuring effective collaboration and publishing solutions.
  3. Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze and document SharePoint-related processes.
  4. Develop governance plans, process impact assessments, and key decision documents to standardize SharePoint processes.
  5. Investigate and resolve issues related to SharePoint design and scope changes.
  6. Collaborate on data migration and system interface activities to ensure seamless integration.
  7. Assist in change management, training, and roll-out activities to support project implementation.
  8. Support project planning, testing, and transition from project to operations.
  9. Provide ongoing technical guidance to configuration, training, and testing teams.

Core Requirements

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst on large technology projects.
  2. Intermediate technical skills in SharePoint 2010 and 2016 (enterprise-level collaboration and publishing solutions).
  3. Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  4. Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  5. Strong communication skills in professional environments, both written and spoken.

Desired Skills & Experience

  1. Experience with data analysis programs.
  2. Previous public sector experience.
  3. Familiarity with compliance and governance frameworks.
  4. Experience collaborating with internal and external teams.
  5. Ability to analyze risks and controls in enterprise IT environments.

Terms

This is a 12-month contract with a strong possibility of extension. The successful candidate must provide their own laptop and complete required security checks before starting.
