If you are looking for an exciting auxiliary opportunity to grow your career with the City of Burnaby’s People and Culture department, here’s your chance! We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Compensation Coordinator. In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for the Compensation division. Not only will you be providing superior customer service over the phone, but you will also monitor the Compensation inbox and coordinate meetings as needed. In addition to providing administrative support to the department, your duties will include administering the job evaluation process, drafting related correspondence, performing basic job evaluation related tasks, and responding to inquiries. Data and record management is just as important as the Coordinator will need to maintain Compensation records, process invoices, and generate reports. Other responsibilities include supporting the dispute and grievance resolution process, participating in Total Compensation planning, completing salary surveys, and performing related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Human Resources plus 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. In this role, you will find yourself engaging with a variety of internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis. With that in mind, the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing will be critical to this position. Given the nature of the work, you’ll require the ability to exercise tact and discretion in processing confidential matters. Experience working with software such as MS Office, SAP, and Laserfiche is considered an asset whereas a Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia is required. If you are looking to grow your career with one of BC’s Top Employers, we encourage you to apply!
