Community Support Worker

We are looking for a Community Support Worker for a man on the autism spectrum. The support worker must enjoy hiking and other recreational activities. A vehicle is required. 10 - 15 hours per week during the week and weekends. The ideal candidate will:

• Be flexible, patient, open-minded, enjoy conversation, be very fluent in English and have strong boundaries.
• Have an understanding of mental health issues and challenging behaviours.
• Have the ability to create a stable and meaningful routine.
• Accompany/transport the individual to activities in the community.
• Have the ability to encourage, motivate and involve the individual in community activities.
• Be able to work with minimal supervision.
