The Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Executive Office is now accepting applications for the following full-time permanent position, based out of Hall Lake, SK :
COMMUNITY PATROLLING OFFICER
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties :
Guard the property against fire, suspicious behaviour, theft, vandalism and forced entry;
Patrol community, buildings, grounds and all community areas by vehicle as specified by employer;
Regularly check security vehicle and report any maintenance requests to Public Works;
Observes or examine doors, windows and gates to ensure they are properly secured;
Watch for and report irregularities to supervisor and other agencies (RCMP or Fire Department);
Work independently with minimal supervision;
Provide written and verbal reports with attention to factual details;
Other duties of a similar nature as may be assigned from time to time.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications :
Security Guard training course or related work experience may be considered;
Grade 12 diploma;
Previous experience in the security industry will be an asset;
Ability to deal with the public in a respective, assertive manner;
Must be able to pass RCMP Security Clearance;
Have CPR / First Aid / AED certificate or be willing to complete in the first year of employment;
Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to provide an acceptable Driver’s Abstract;
Have access to a reliable vehicle is preferred;
Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential;
Punctual, honest & reliable.
Ability to speak Cree is an asset.
