An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join the Nairn, Aviemore Badenoch and Strathspey Community Mental Health team.
The CMHT is part of the secondary services providing assessment and treatment packages for a range of service users aged between 18-65 years with complex mental health needs. This post is based in Nairn but the post holder will undertake work from the Aviemore site.
The post holder will maintain a clinical case load and will work effectively in the multidisciplinary team. The candidate should have evidence of team working skills, excellent communication and organisational skills, and an ability to work using their own initiative and without direct supervision in the context of agreed tasks. The candidate should demonstrate knowledge of mental health illnesses and disorders and have an understanding of the legislative factors associated with community mental health working.
The candidate should have a commitment to involve patients and their carers in the delivery of evidence-based, recovery-focused interventions.
A Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification currently featuring on the Nursing and Midwifery Council register is required, and supervision will be provided by the team lead.
A driving license is essential, and a pool car may be available; however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes.
