In the summer of 2022 FNHA began to regionalize nursing services to provide better and more timely support to community. Our region is proud to continue growing rapidly and supporting communities in the best way possible, and these positions help to meet the needs of community. The successful candidate will be provided a fulsome orientation and ongoing support from the regional nursing team as well as FNHA in general.
Title: Community Health Nurse - Health Center
Salary: $94,724 – $114,261 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time (0.5 FTE)
Location: Witset/Hagwilget
Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada)

About The RoleWe are adding a second position to both of these locations to support increased and improved nursing services. Full immunization competency is required and is the biggest program area this position covers. Other typical program duties include TB testing and screening, STI management, prenatal/postnatal support and education, men’s health and wellness, women’s health and wellness.
About YouTo be successful in this role you will have/be –
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Obtain and maintain Basic Life Support Certification Level C;
- Completion of a recognized specialty nursing program is an asset.
- Requires a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
