Title: Community Health Nurse – Nursing Station (Public Health Role)
Salary: $91,965 – $110,933 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time
Location: Lax Kw’Alaams
Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada)

About The Role
As Community Health Nurse in a public health role working in Lax Kw’Alaams Nursing Station, you will provide a comprehensive range of core nursing functions and services in remote First Nations communities in program areas of community and public health, primary care, and urgent and emergent care. This includes health promotion and disease and injury prevention for individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have/be:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Obtain and maintain Basic Life Support Certification Level C.
  • Requires a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent point-of-care nursing experience in a related or relevant field.
