Summary: As a key player on our marketing and communications team, the Communications Coordinator will drive impactful internal and external communications strategies that elevate our brand, enhance reputation management, and support our growing footprint in Ontario’s real estate sector. What you’ll get to do:
Customer Service
Manage company inbox and respond to online inquiries within service targets.
Monitor and track response times, sentiment, and other metrics to improve customer service.
Monitor and respond to online reviews and drive improvement across all platforms.
Develop regular reporting and analyze results to improve on service targets.
Social Media Strategy and Community Engagement
Manage and execute social media campaigns while keeping content fresh, engaging, and on-brand.
Lead the creation of monthly social media content calendars and campaigns to reach target audience and drive engagement.
Design
Design visually appealing posters, digital graphics, and print materials that adhere to company branding guidelines.
Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to align visual design with campaign objectives and messaging.
Stay updated on design trends to keep materials fresh and impactful.
Develop processes and templates to help maintain brand consistency across departments.
Social Listening and Reputation Monitoring
Regularly monitor social media channels to assess sentiment, handle inquiries, and gather feedback.
Ensure that all issues or requests are promptly communicated within 24 hours to the appropriate teams for resolution.
Internal Communications and Team Engagement
Develop and implement strategies (such as Town Halls and Surveying) to enhance internal communications, fostering engagement and alignment across departments.
Create a calendar of Dates of Significance and execute regular communications and events.
Collaborate with Marketing and Communications team to create clear, consistent messaging for internal initiatives, updates, and corporate culture-building activities.
Organize internal events and programs that strengthen team involvement and promote a cohesive workplace environment.
Newsletters and Corporate Communications
Develop and design the company’s monthly corporate newsletter and quarterly resident/client newsletters, along with visual collateral, posters, and notices.
Ensure that all communications reflect the brand’s voice and provide valuable, relevant content.
Public Relations
Write and distribute press releases and media advisories to promote key company milestones and initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to secure coverage and enhance brand visibility.
Develop and implement PR strategies to generate buzz through media outreach, partnerships, and thought leadership opportunities.
Monitor media coverage and manage crisis communications by preparing key messaging and response strategies to protect and strengthen the company’s reputation.
Who you are:
College/University Diploma in related field preferred
3-5 years experience
Proficient working knowledge of design software, specifically Adobe Illustrator and InDesign – anything else is a bonus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional writing skills
Self-starter who is comfortable “switching gears” and able to switch focus on a whim
Strong knowledge of all key social media platforms
Forward-thinking; passionate about staying ahead of the curve with emerging marketing and digital trends
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
