Position Details
- Position Title: Communications Coordinator
- Department/Section: Corporate Services
- Employment Status: Permanent Full Time
- Targeted Salary Range: $60,639.60-$72,009.53
- Work Mode: Hybrid (2 Days Per Week)
- Location: 5310 Explorer Drive, Mississauga ON
- Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm

The targeted salary range is supplemented by a competitive total rewards package. The salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors such as the individual’s skillset, level of experience applicable to the role and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as the first point of contact for incoming public/staff questions and requests.
- Works closely with other members of the Communications team and in collaboration with internal clients, produces content (e.g. backgrounders, newsletters, brochures, presentations, promotional materials, publications) for various internal and external communication channels.
- Coordinates, schedules, and manages logistics for town halls and information sessions.
- Provides hands-on support for internal and external communications activities such as events, stakeholder outreach, and media relations.
- Ensures departmental communications assets and physical materials are organized and accessible.
- Develops reports on communications activities, monitors media analytics, tracks impact and outcome.
- Produces corporate videos and edits video to specifications.
- Writes content for blog and other storytelling opportunities.
Qualifications:
- A post secondary degree or diploma in Communication related field of study (Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Professional Writing).
- A minimum of 1-2 years of communications related experience.
- Experience with creative digital applications.
- Experience in health care and/or aviation is considered an asset.
- Proficient with design/photo/video applications, i.e. Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Strong writing skills and demonstrated ability to provide versatile creative services.
- Collaborative team player comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
