CCAT is a non-profit organization, based in the Greater Toronto Area. CCAT provides social services, leadership, and advocacy for its member agencies and the people they serve. Catholic Charities Member Agencies provide services and outreach through programs that meet current and emerging needs in the community.

Build your resume and work where your work makes a difference every single day! We are currently accepting applications for volunteers interested in working as a Communications Assistant.

What you'll get to do:

  • Helping to implement internal and external communications strategies and projects
  • Providing administrative/outreach support to internal teams
  • Drafting, creating, and posting social media and web content according to the company's social media strategy
  • Drafting and copy-editing highlights/ news stories of CCAT programs
  • Helping draft an ongoing communications calendar for all communication platforms

What you need to know/have:

  • Experience in communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • An understanding of social media strategies and media relations.
  • Above-average knowledge of various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.
  • Comprehensive experience with Office 365, Adobe Pro, Canva, Constant Contact, and other related software programs
  • Graphic design experience is preferred.

Location: Toronto

Hours: Flexible
