About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced communication professional with a passion for bridging cultures and driving impactful communication strategies. As the Communication Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our global narrative and internal culture by connecting our Norwegian headquarters, existing facilities, and our exciting new large-scale plant in Canada.

Responsibilities:

Internal Communications:

1. Develop and implement internal communication strategies to foster employee engagement and ensure alignment with company goals.
2. Create and manage content for internal communication platforms, including intranet, emails, and employee meetings.
3. Collaborate with other departments to support internal initiatives, such as training sessions and company events.
4. Support the build-up of a unified organizational culture.

External Communications:

1. Develop and execute external communication plans to enhance the company's reputation and visibility.
2. Manage media relations, including drafting press releases and handling media inquiries.
3. Build relationships with key stakeholders, including journalists, industry experts, and local communities.
4. Organize events, activities, and community outreach initiatives.
5. Coordinate and manage the company's social media presence, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging across all platforms.
6. Support crisis communication efforts, including drafting statements and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

Strategic Planning:

1. Work closely with the VP Corporate Development & Communications to develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
2. Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for proactive communication.
3. Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication initiatives, using data and analytics to inform future strategies.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: 3-5 years in communication roles, preferably within an industrial context.
2. Education: Relevant degree in Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
3. Location: Temporarily Remote, on-site at the execution phase.
4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to navigate cultural nuances and adapt messaging accordingly.
6. Ability to work both remotely and on-site when required.
7. Proficiency in media relations and content creation.
8. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
