We provide the leadership, infrastructure, and support for faculty to adopt new teaching techniques, explore advanced digital and AI tools, and push boundaries to ensure students gain the skills and competencies needed for both employment and lifelong employability. The Innovative Learning team is essential in helping faculty cultivate the skills and attributes that define a polytechnic education.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Communication Assistant will play a key role in enhancing the clarity, consistency, and effectiveness of internal and external communications for the department. This includes reviewing and refining existing communication templates, resources, and campaigns across planners, websites, and communication platforms. The incumbent will also contribute to the development of new materials such as infographics and other visual content, working collaboratively with various team members, including the Dean, Associate Deans and Graphic Designers.
Key responsibilities include leading the management of social media channels by creating and implementing campaigns that highlight regular events and initiatives within Innovative Learning. The Communication Assistant will also curate content for the digital newsletter and Faculty Handbook. Additionally, the role involves developing and maintaining a structured database and related datasets that support content strategy—covering areas such as SEO data, communication platform reports, and tracking spreadsheets. This data must be securely stored and accessible through user-friendly views, reports, and templates that are visually engaging and designed to present information clearly and effectively.
