Commercial Lines Underwriter

If you are looking for an opportunity to join an innovative MGA, and to underwrite commercial policies – this opportunity could be for YOU! The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years commercial underwriting experience and prior MGA experience is an asset.

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Underwriting specialty commercial lines risks within level of authority
2. Answering inquiries and providing support to our brokers while building relationships
3. Preparing underwriting instructions for processing on renewals, endorsements, cancellations, new business
4. Maintaining accurate records of decisions made and maintaining completeness of policy data
5. Communicating and responding to requests in a prompt and professional manner
6. Maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external parties

Requirements:

1. 3 years of relevant experience
2. Level 1 Insurance License
3. Post-secondary education or related business experience
4. Detail-oriented individual with professional communication skills and excellent customer service skills
