The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Commercial Account Representative is an outside sales position, responsible for acquiring and maintaining new accounts as well as retaining existing accounts in their respective territory.

Responsibilities:

Company Growth

  • Full accountability to achieve volume and margin sales targets for defined sales territory
  • Self-starter who will actively prospect in the field, resulting in an active pipeline of new opportunities and progressing them through the sales process
  • Strong understanding of the art of negotiations and profitability analysis processes
  • Develop and implement tactical sales plans for defined territory to ensure customer retention and growth goals for region
  • Previous product knowledge an asset

Customer Experience

  • Develop a strong relationship with key accounts to maintain a high level of service and loyalty
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Operations, CX, Credit etc.) allowing smooth account setup and resolving issues as they arise
  • Work closely with operations and support functions to facilitate solutions for the customer
  • Be an active problem solver and trusted advisor to our customers
  • Recommend solutions that best fit customer requirements

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of commercial sales experience with a proven track record
  • A motivated self-starter, with good organizational skills
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Construction, Transportation or Agriculture sales (propane, diesel or gasoline delivery an asset)
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Strong customer service focus is essential
  • Must be very results oriented
  • Team player attitude with the ability to spend large amounts of time in field
  • Strong computer skills (knowledge in SalesForce and Power BI an asset)
  • Willingness to travel with some overnights will be required
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and abstract in good standing
