What Will You Work On?
The CLXT will perform a variety of routine laboratory, x-ray, and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards as defined by respective service and accrediting bodies. The CLXT also performs routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and troubleshoots equipment problems as required.
Casual employment means work requirements can vary between 0 and 37.5 hours per week. Work will be available on a short-notice, on-call basis and/or blocks of shifts pre-scheduled to relieve leaves of absence. This position can work days, evenings, and weekends with the hours being between 07:00 to 15:42, 08:00 to 16:12, 08:18 to 16:30, 08:48 to 17:00, 16:30 to 00:42, 16:00 to 00:12. There will be on-call attached to this casual opportunity.
Effective April 01, 2024 – the hourly wage for CLXTs will be $36.69 - $45.81.

Qualifications
Graduation from an approved Combined Laboratory X-Ray Technician program.
Eligible for registration with a provincial licensing body.
One year of general experience in laboratory and diagnostic imaging fields or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
