Summary
As a Collections Clerk at Titan Environmental, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth payment processes by building strong customer relationships and proactively managing overdue accounts. You’ll leverage your problem-solving skills to resolve disputes, monitor missed payments, and oversee credit memos and unapplied cash—all while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach. Roles & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to facilitate smooth payment processes.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding invoices through various communication channels, including phone and email.
- Monitor and review missed promise-to-pay commitments and take appropriate follow-up actions.
- Investigate and resolve disputes and customer inquiries.
- Maintain detailed records of collection efforts and customer interactions.
- Review and approve collection campaign emails to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
- Track and oversee the issuance and application of credit memos and unapplied cash.
- Recommend accounts for escalation or legal action when necessary.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in providing excellent service and support in customer-focused roles.
- Dedicated to the principles of exceptional service, with a strong commitment to responding to, anticipating, and addressing customer needs proactively.
- Effective verbal and written communication for interacting with customers through various channels such as phone, email, and in-person.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport and foster positive customer relationships.
- Ability to adapt to different customer personalities, preferences and situations while maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.
- Excellent time management and organization skills to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a team-based environment and collaborate with colleagues from various departments.
- Willingness to travel for job-related purposes, as needed.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable role, specifically in handling collections of overdue invoices will be considered as an asset.

Other Information:
- This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm).
- This position is open to candidates located in Surrey (BC), Leduc (AB), or our Burlington (ON) offices and is an in-person work arrangement. We will be filling only 2 positions for this role, given the multiple locations it is open to. Once 2 roles have been successfully filled across any of these locations, the job posting will be closed.
