Career Opportunity: Collaborative Practices Facilitator

Location: Prince George, BC

Employment Type: Full-time, 35hrs per week

The Opportunity

  • Receive referrals from a number of sources including but not limited to the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) Team Leaders, Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS) and community service providers, families, Chief and Council and hereditary leadership.
  • Contact potential participants and determine suitability to the program, obtaining background information.
  • Develop and deliver training and educational materials that provide an orientation to staff, community and other agencies regarding the family dispute resolution process.
  • Promote awareness and encourage use of the family dispute resolution by communities/agencies serving families.

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • Bachelors of Social Work or related field.
  • Masters of Social Work, Masters in Education or related field preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in child welfare work.
  • Experience in interviewing family members and other stakeholders for their views on family functioning.
  • Experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution Processes.

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $38.59 to $49.97 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
