Co-op Communications

Communications Student

Emera New Brunswick is hiring for the position of Communications Co-op for the Summer, 2025 term.

Who You Are

  • Sound judgement when handling challenging customer and communications issues
  • Highly organized, with the ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and escalate to management when needed
  • Passionate about storytelling and creative content, and in-touch with social media trends and content formats
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, give each project attention to detail, and meet deadlines
  • Experience in working with agency partners and/or cross functional teams
Accountabilities

More specifically, in this role you will:

  • Coordinating, writing and editing communications materials including newsletters, digital and social media posts, and other items as required
  • Contribute to content production by ideating social media content concepts, supporting direction and production of video content, and developing blog articles
  • Manage and publish the editorial calendar to ensure effective messaging and alignment with brand and content strategy
  • Design and post social media content in accordance with the strategy
  • Create infographics and other visual content
  • Liaise with external vendors, as needed, with respect to our customer campaigns
  • Planning and execution of special projects and events.
Who We Are

Emera New Brunswick, owner of the Brunswick Pipeline, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Emera Inc. (EMA-TSX). The Brunswick Pipeline delivers natural gas from the CanaportTM Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) receiving and re-gasification terminal near Saint John, New Brunswick to markets in Canada and the US Northeast. The 145-kilometer pipeline extends through southwest New Brunswick to an interconnection with the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline at the Canada/US border near St. Stephen, New Brunswick. We work diligently to ensure the safe and reliable operations of the Brunswick Pipeline and are active members of our communities.
