Working closely with the members of engineering and quality teams to review the customer requirements to produce high-quality components for aerospace, spaceflight, and industrial industries.
Determining the machining strategies and generating CNC programs, machining setup sheets, and tool lists for multi-axis (3, 4 & 5 axis machines) machining systems.
Developing the work-holding strategies and designing fixtures for machining complex geometries.
Assisting the shop floor in adhering to AS91000 requirements with risk analysis and the Root Cause Corrective Action process.
Maintaining the continuous process improvement to reduce cost, improve quality, and increase throughput.
Qualifications:
College diploma or engineering degree in a related technical discipline
Minimum five years of experience in a precision CNC machining environment
Minimum five years experience in multi-axis CNC programming.
Expert level proficiency in Mastercam software.
Demonstrated experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Demonstrated experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Demonstrated experience in developing work-holding strategies and fixture design
Experience with AS9100 requirements and principles is considered an asset
Knowledge of Metrology Software Product (MSP) is regarded as an asset
Hands-on experience with advanced CNC systems with Fanuc controls and Renishaw probing systems is considered an asset
Experience in the Aerospace and/or Space industries are viewed as an asset
