The successful CNC Programmer joins a team of dedicated production engineers with the goal of increasing throughput through proper Design for Manufacturing and machine use. Programmers have the opportunity to work with a variety of machine tools, including Lathes, 3 and 5 axis mills, routers, lasers, punch and more.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create programs for CNC machinery
• Review blueprints and drawings from the Engineering department
• Provide feedback on improvements to streamline production
• Design tooling and fixtures to increase production capacity
• Check samples to make sure they conform to specifications
• Ensure new and existing parts conform to quality standards
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to CNC programming and operation

Qualifications, Experience and Skill Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in CNC programming
• Knowledge of MasterCAM and InventorCAM
• Experience with Fuji lathes considered an asset
• Confident use of precision measuring equipment with ability to read micrometers and calipers
• Manual Machining an asset
• Robotics/automation experience an asset
• Tool off-setter experience is an asset
• Have the knowledge of machine drawings, fit and tolerances
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls
