Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 3:30 AM to 2:00 PM

Branch location: Red Deer, Alberta

At A.R. Thomson Engineered Solutions Inc., we specialize in fluid containment and control. Our expertise includes the design and manufacture of stainless-steel metallic flex hoses, industrial rubber hoses, expansion joints, and a wide range of gaskets. As we expand our Machining department, we are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about producing exceptional products that exceed customer expectations.

General Accountability:

We seek skilled and innovative tradespeople to join our growing team. The ideal candidates will be punctual, professional, and reliable, with a strong desire to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to handle high workload demands effectively.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
  2. Machine parts using Haas and Mazak CNC lathes, milling machines, and bandsaw.
  3. Setup, align, and secure tool holders, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto the machine.
  4. Able to read blueprints, understand the work orders, and follow instructions.
  5. Select the appropriate tools/fixtures, machines, and materials for setups.
  6. Maintain machines and tools regularly.
  7. Program and edit CNC machines.
  8. Correctly handle finished materials.
  9. Perform quality control checks periodically.
  10. Report to a Supervisor any issues affecting production.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Red Seal certification preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Minimum of 10 years of CNC machining experience.
  • Experience with DN, Haas, and Mazak CNC machines.
  • Expert in Mastercam or GibbsCAM software.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Strategic mindset focused on continuous improvement.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary range between $30.00 to $42.00 per hour according to experience.

Pay: $30.00-$42.00 per hour
