Our client, a leader in Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Tool & Die Maker/CNC Operator at their Windsor, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Tool & Die Maker/CNC Operator is responsible for ensuring tooling meets process expectations. The ideal candidate will have good manual dexterity, be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:
Compute dimensions and tolerances to set up machine tools
Position, secure, measure and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining
Assemble/disassemble parts to test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operation
Directly work with suppliers to print, design, or build situations to ensure tool expectations are met
Analyze manufacturing repairs and adjustments to formulate solutions in standardized situations
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of related work experience
Trade certification
Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to understand and effectively communicate oral and written instructions
Ability to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs)
Able to work 3-shift model: Midnights, Days, Afternoons, and required OT
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of related experience working in a manufacturing environment
