Position Overview:

Are you looking to be part of a growing and developing team in an organization that values its people, customers, work, and supply chain? If so, APEX is currently accepting applications for a CNC Boring Mill Operator within its Custom Contract Manufacturing Group.

This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Shift Supervisor. The primary role of this position is to set up, operate, and maintain a Toshiba CNC boring mill. Some overtime may be required, and training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

1. Setting up and operating CNC Boring Mill to specific parameters/measurements.
2. Operate hand tools and precision measuring devices (wrenches, impacts, calipers).
3. Read and interpret production documentation including blueprints.
4. Maintain production schedules.
5. Recognize and communicate areas to improve to the Machining Supervisor.
6. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
7. Comply with all company policies.

Qualifications:

1. A college diploma in CNC or Manual Machining or equivalent work experience will be considered.
2. Boring mill experience (i.e., Toshiba, Fermat, or similar).
3. Probe experience (Renishaw preferred).
4. Must have a strong knowledge of GD and T.
5. Must be able to operate overhead crane and rigging equipment.
6. Able to read imperial & metric measurements.
7. A strong mechanical aptitude.
8. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
9. Strong communication skills.
