We currently have an opportunity for a Casual Child Life Specialist in the Inpatient Pediatric department.
How Child Life Specialist support our teams at Grand River Hospital:
Participates in assessment and intervention with children/adolescents under the age of 18 years, and their families admitted to the Hospital. Facilitates the day to day care of patients in collaboration with team members, families and other hospital and community service providers in delivering care/service according to the Standards of Child Life Practice as set out by the Child Life Council.
They are responsible for data entry, and receipt and organization of office supplies. Assists in coordinating activities in the unit to ensure smooth and efficient unit function. Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
