The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service requires one (1) Administrator based in Thunder Bay, ON to service the In-Service Training Unit (ISTU). This position is responsible for providing administrative and support services; ensuring the efficient daily operation of the In-Service Training Unit, while operating within standard operating policies, procedures, and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Knowledge of office administration policies, procedures, practices to provide support to the ISTU;
2. Knowledge of office equipment such as telephones, computers, projectors, photocopier, facsimile and scanner to copy material and transmit correspondence;
3. Knowledge and skill in the use of personal computer operation, Microsoft Office products and word processing programs;
4. Knowledge of Freedom of Information (FOI), Enterpol, NICHE, and CPIC, policies and procedures;
5. Knowledge of terminology pertaining to police training;
6. Knowledge of File Control Directory and retention schedules for effective records management;
7. Superior oral and written communication skills, reasoning skills, and the ability to prioritize work;
8. Post Secondary education in a related field;
9. 3-5 years experience working in an Office environment.
