Cloud Accounting Specialist / Cloud Bookkeeper

Agilus is recruiting for a Cloud Accounting Specialist/Cloud Bookkeeper in the accounting firm in a hybrid work environment in Elora, Ontario.

A typical day:

• Creating comprehensive documentation of bookkeeping processes.
• Research, design and deliver training of new cloud technologies to create efficiencies in existing practices.
• Proactively follow up with clients and build positive working relationships.
• Effectively respond to requests or queries, and keep the team apprised of any potential issues.
• Full-cycle bookkeeping in a cloud-based environment from client supplied records.
• Preparing payroll and related filings, reconciliations, HST returns, financial statements and reports.
• Onboarding and training clients on cloud accounting software and applications.
• Troubleshooting discrepancies, such as resolving issues when transactions are deleted or incorrectly posted.

You bring:

• Minimum of 8 years in full-cycle bookkeeping experience in public practice accounting or in a multi-client environment is an asset.
• Excellent working knowledge of cloud accounting software including QBO, Xero and various related apps such as Dext, Plooto, Hubdoc and Wagepoint.
• Proven experience and proficiency in cloud-based accounting platforms.
• Experience with CaseWare is an asset.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping principles.
• Experience in training staff and clients.
• Strong interest in technology and innovation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
