1000 Islands Addiction Treatment Centre, located in Mallorytown, ON, is a CARF Accredited, leading provider of treatment for people coping with addiction and mental health issues. Our team of addictions specialists have extensive clinical experience and offer you the very best in treatment, providing a full spectrum of treatment, including counselling and psychotherapy, medical and psychiatric treatment as required, recreational activities such as trivia, karaoke, yoga, hiking, basketball, and golf, Rieke, snowshoeing, cycling, and a full gym with aerobic machines and weights. Our expressive arts program introduces clients to watercolour, sculpting, collage, music and other creative options to help people build a repertoire of healthy and fun activities.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Psychotherapist/RP Qualifying, or MSW with a passion for helping others. This position supports our clients and clinical team by being an engaged team member, facilitating individual and group therapy sessions. The preferred candidate can work well in a fast-paced environment and can manage crisis situations in a calm and professional manner.

Duties/Responsibilities- Reporting to the Clinical Director, the successful candidate will conduct individual and group therapy on site with our inpatient population.
- Abide by the Code of Ethics as set out by the College of Registered Psychotherapists (or other regulatory body).
- Collaborate with the clinical team to provide client-centred care.
- Create and maintain clinical notes, prepare reports and other written material as required.
- Ensure proper clinical interventions are implemented.
- Participate in weekly clinical team meetings.
- Support the clinical team as necessary.
Qualifications- Master’s degree in psychology, counselling or social work.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the helping profession.
- Possess an understanding and ability to utilize best practices approaches such as DBT, CBT, etc.
- Understanding of and ability to work with special populations such as first responders, veterans, or those with concurrent disorders.
- Ability to conduct psychotherapy through a trauma-informed lens.
- Maintain knowledge and skills related to professional practice by engaging in professional development and clinical supervision.
- Experience in addiction and trauma considered a strong asset.
- Ability to use technology required.
