Clinical Specialist Instructor, Physician Assistant

Position Overview

Calian is seeking a Clinical Specialist Instructor in the field of Physician Assistant to help support the design, development and delivery of Canadian Forces Health Services Group Training and Education programs.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct Clinical Specialty T&E Programs
• Develop lesson plans
• Prepare classing, equipment, job aids and learning tools for instruction
• Set up/break down of training requirements such as dismantling equipment, and classrooms
• Counsel and provide remedial Training and Education to students who are experiencing academic difficulties
• Assess students
• Advise on student performance
• Maintain student files and feedback notes
• Advise on the quality and efficiency of the instruction

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree OR post graduate diploma/certificate from a recognized Canadian University of College or from an equivalent in the following occupation: Physician Assistant
• Must have completed a minimum of twenty five training days within the last five years in instructing in health services in the following occupation: Physician Assistant
• Must hold a valid professional license in good standing with respective governing body for the following occupation: Physician Assistant

Additional Requirements:

• Bilingualism an asset
• Must hold or be able to obtain a Government of Canada Security Clearance
