As an independent EAP Provider, you'll help clients overcome personal challenges and achieve their goals with a solution-focused, short-term approach. Here's How

  1. Offer solution-focused counseling to a diverse range of clients with various personal and work-related issues.
  2. Evaluate client needs, set objectives, and develop strategies within the framework of the client's EAP plan.
  3. Create personalized action plans to help clients achieve their goals.
  4. Manage administrative tasks in line with TELUS Health's clinical models, including maintaining client records and documentation.
  5. Communicate effectively with TELUS Health's EAP team.
  6. Uphold professional and ethical guidelines, ensuring client confidentiality and compliance with regulations and policies.
  7. Stay updated on mental health developments and engage in ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work from a recognized institution.
  2. Active membership in good standing with a relevant professional regulatory body or association.
  3. Current professional liability insurance coverage.
  4. Minimum of five (5) years of post-graduate counselling experience working with diverse populations.
  5. Demonstrated ability to establish short-term treatment goals and apply a solution-focused therapeutic approach.
  6. Proven experience in managing high-risk clinical cases, including individuals at risk of harm to self or others.
  7. Competency in working with individuals, couples, and families; strong knowledge of local community resources and referral networks.
  8. Access to a professionally maintained private office space suitable for in-person sessions.
