Apollo Applied Research is a virtual medical clinic offering its patients an accessible path to medical cannabis treatment. We offer effective treatments for many chronic health conditions such as pain, anxiety, sleep disorders, PTSD and more through an evidence-based approach to empower our patients to take control of their overall health. The Opportunity

We are excited to expand our mental health platform and are searching for an enthusiastic and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our highly effective interdisciplinary team. You must be licensed to practice in either New Brunswick or Quebec.

Through our published research study on cannabinoids for the management of chronic pain beginning in 2015, patients following Apollo's treatment plan reported 43% less pain and those using opioids halved their dose on average of 26mg/day to 13mg/day in the first month. The study also reported a significant improvement in their mental health.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide efficient assessment, diagnosis, therapy and support to our patients, Veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces.
  2. Provide consultation with service providers and collaborate with our existing Psychologists as required.
  3. Psychological case management input and recommendations to the interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, psycho-social barriers, and conflict management.
  4. Other duties as assigned.

Experience

  1. PhD. or PSY.D. in Psychology.
  2. Current registration with the College in either New Brunswick or Quebec.
  3. Experience in the field of health psychology.
  4. Experience with veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces and their families would be an asset, along with the ability to establish a positive rapport.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Ability to effectively adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
  7. Comfortable with providing support via virtual tools including video and telephone.

Other Details

This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow into full-time based out of New Brunswick or Quebec.
