Reporting to the Manager, Hematology/Oncology and Nephrology Care Team, with accountability to the Professional Practice Chief for issues pertaining to Professional Standards of Practice and Ethics, the dietitian is responsible for the nutritional management of children within the Hematology/Oncology and Nephrology Team. The Clinical Dietitian works collaboratively as a member of the multidisciplinary Hematology/Oncology and Nephrology Team. The Clinical Dietitian participates in the planning and program development of the Hematology/Oncology and Nephrology Team. The Clinical Dietitian will assist in the education of Health Centre staff, dietetic interns, and affiliating students on normal and therapeutic nutrition, in accordance with the mission, vision, and philosophies of the IWK Health Centre. The Clinical Dietitian shares responsibility with all dietitians to provide caseload coverage throughout the Health Centre, as well as weekend stand-by and call-back coverage as required.
TBD, the ability to participate in weekend/holiday calls is required.
