CLINICAL DIETITIAN - PART-TIME

SALARY - $41.68-$53.28/Hour + up to 20% in lieu

Pension (optional opt in available)

8-hour day shifts including weekends and stats.

Hours and shifts are subject to change with notice based on the needs of the organization.

Role Overview

Our In-Patient Clinical Dietitians are responsible for providing evidence-based nutritional care and counselling. They assess patients' nutritional needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement dietary strategies to promote health, manage chronic conditions, and support recovery. The role involves close collaboration with medical teams to ensure that nutrition plays an integral role in patient treatment and recovery processes.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Food and Nutrition (or equivalent).
2. Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
3. Understanding of learning/teaching methods, patient education and counselling principles.
4. Ability to prepare and present educational material to patients/clients and staff in both individual and group settings.
5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, decision making and assessment skills.
6. Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a busy multidisciplinary situation.
7. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
8. Ability to provide client-centered care.
9. Ability to prioritize workload.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition.
2. Previous experience with Electronic Medical Records.
