Location: Warsaw (our office is located in the Warsaw Spire building)

Operating model: Hybrid work (combining office and remote work)

Type of contract: Full time contract of employment

The Accounting Manager is the financial liaison between the JLL Operational Team and the Client, reporting to Client Finance Manager responsible for finance service delivery on the account. Responsible for the implementation and execution of accounting processes and programs designed to ensure the appropriate level of accuracy, tracking and control over the property operating expenses and capital expenditures. They are also responsible for all JLL Corporate finance deliverables for the account, budgeting, forecasting and monthly variance analysis.

What this job involves

  • Provide clear direction and strategic financial advice to the JLL team working on the account
  • Develop and maintain all relevant policies and procedures with respect to all financial & support services associated with the account
  • Build strong relationships and support the client side finance teams with regular reporting and dealing with any queries / information requests. Liaise and support the Client’s primary financial managers/units
  • Develop, maintain and assures timely finance service delivery within Facility Management function to the Client
  • Analyse process and performance trends, flags issues and propose corrective solutions
  • Work with the operational team to analyse commercial and contractual aspects of the account (e.g. savings initiative tracking; reconciliations; baseline control; business case reviews; etc.)
  • Ensure that accurate and timely financial information is provided to all members of the management team (both to Client & JLL Corporate team)
  • Production of annual budgets/forecast in conjunction with JLL team and client finance team (both from Client & JLL Corporate perspective)
  • Manage and optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of finance processes: ensure robust financial controls in place including Cash Reconciliations, all Balance sheet reconciliations & compliance with SOX reporting
  • Ensure data integrity of the systems in use and adopted processes on the account in line with JLL standards
  • Deputise for Client Finance Manager and be a key player in the regional account team (e.g. raising financial awareness of Operations team)
  • Supervision and development of local finance team (either direct or matrix). Manage and coach the team to ensure high staff morale, trust, work ethics, clear goals and performance reviews

Sound like you? To apply you need to be / have:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position (working with international teams and clients)
  • University degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or equivalent and Qualified Member of Professional Accounting Association (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
  • Experience in managing team over 2-5 people
  • Strong leadership skills working with a dynamic team directly and by influencing indirectly stakeholders
  • Motivated, positive and flexible in approach to work and able to develop others in such an approach
  • Proactive in identifying issues and potential solutions
  • Self – supporting, diligent; can deliver to tight deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly and desire to develop
  • Ability to work collaboratively and through challenges with the client; other members of the account team (Operations; Sourcing) and IFM corporate teams
  • Customer Service/Client facing experience: Commitment to solve requests and problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills, proficient in Office tools, especially Microsoft Outlook Word & Excel
