Intent of the process

This inventory may be used to establish pools of partially or fully qualified candidates to staff identical or similar positions within Edmonton, Regina and Winnipeg.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
  • A secondary school diploma or *employer-approved alternative

* Employer-approved alternative is defined as completion of two years of secondary school and 5 years of experience working in a real property profession.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
For AS04 and AS05 opportunities:
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Accommodation management
  • Property management
  • Project management
  • Lease administration
  • Experience forecasting and monitoring project financials in a financial system such as SIGMA, SAP database systems, Oracle, etc.
  • Experience using Excel at an intermediate level for example, formatting, editing and applying formulas.

For AS05 opportunities:
  • Experience in leading office space projects or office portfolio strategies.
  • Experience preparing written reports, business cases or investment analysis reports, developing options and providing recommendations.

Education:
  • Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution in Business Administration, Economics or some other acceptable specialization.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
  • Experience using the Government of Canada real property and financial database (SIGMA).
  • Experience providing real property services to Government of Canada departments.
  • Experience in developing and implementing Change Management principles and activities within a project.
  • Experience using Excel at an advanced level for example creating and editing pivot tables, creating custom lists and using advanced formulas.

Experience will be evaluated against depth and breadth of activities, and the complexity and diversity of the activities.
Candidates may be required to meet the asset qualifications or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed.
From this process, your application may be considered for either the AS-04 or AS-05 based on assessment results. If found qualified at the AS-05 level, you will be placed in the AS-04 and AS-05 pool.
Public service employees found qualified in this process may be considered for acting, assignment, deployment or secondment.
A random or top down selection of candidates may be used in the determination of those to be given further consideration in the assessment process.
There is a 180 day waiting period before you can reapply if eliminated from the inventory. Your application will not be reconsidered until the waiting period has elapsed.
You must provide proof of your education credentials.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
