Job Summary

Laboratory Assistant II– Sample Management

As a Laboratory Assistant II for our Sample Management department at the Senneville location, you will be responsible for handling frozen study samples, while ensuring that all samples received are accounted for, and well stored. This role allows the laboratory to have all samples required for analysis in a timely and organized manner.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Perform reception, verification and storage of samples;
2. Prepare samples for analysis in the laboratories;
3. Ensure the integrity of the studies and fulfill the regulatory agencies requirements by performing the activities according to the Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) rules;
4. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school diploma;
2. Evidence of flexibility and ability to work independently;
3. Basic working knowledge of computers;
4. Ability to quickly adapt to changes;
5. 1-2 years of relevant experience is an asset.

Role Specific Information

-Location: 22022 Trans-Canada Highway, Senneville (QC) H9X 1C1
-Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station
-Pay: $18.50 per hour
-Annual bonus based on performance;
-Schedule: Monday to Friday (8 AM-4:15 PM) depending on the needs you may have to work in overtime
-Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5 hrs per week
