Cleaner

Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is actively seeking applicants for a Temporary Part Time, Cleaner position for approximately 18 months-November 2026. The Cleaner performs necessary cleaning duties as required with the objective of maintaining the hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Keep assigned areas clean by scouring, scrubbing, mopping, polishing, stripping, sealing, buffing and finishing.
2. Use housekeeping equipment as required and described in the departmental procedures.
3. Prepare cleaning solutions as required by procedures and manufacturer's instructions.
4. Remove waste from designated areas.
5. Inclement weather and exterior duties as assigned.
6. Ensures patient safety and infection prevention and control relating to the position.

Qualifications Required:

1. Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent acceptable to the Hospital.
2. Physically able to perform the requirements of the job.
3. Able to perform cleaning duties as required, in a clean, sanitary and orderly manner.
4. Computer knowledge and proficiency preferred.
5. Demonstrated ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
6. Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis.

Other Pertinent Conditions:

1. Must be available to work all shifts as required including days, evenings, overnights, weekends and statutory holidays. Hours of work are subject to change.
2. Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($27.34 per hour to $28.02 per hour).
