Class 3 Waste Truck Driver - Amherst

Miller Waste Systems Inc. has been in operation since 1961. Miller has over 50 years’ experience in the waste management sector, and currently operates out of more than 30 locations. This position will be located out of our facility in Moncton, NB.

Miller Waste Systems is looking for Class 3 Drivers with Air Endorsement. A collaborative but strong nature is essential, and the applicant’s background in trucking and customer service will allow them to be efficient and effective in operating the required equipment to ensure timely curb side collection of residential waste, recycling, and organics within Miller Waste Systems.

Responsibilities

In the position of CSR/Driver, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

1. Operating a refuse truck to ensure timely curb side collection of waste, recycling, and/or organics.
2. Being highly productive and possessing excellent customer service skills.
3. Assisting with commercial collection as needed.

Requirements

1. Successful candidates will have a Class 3 license with Air Endorsement.
2. Must be a team player with safe working habits and a clean driving record.
3. This is a physically demanding position; the ability to lift up to 50lbs is required.
4. Flexibility with your work schedule is a must as start and end times may vary.
5. Previous waste industry and manual transmission experience will be considered an asset.
6. Must be available to work Saturdays and/or holidays when required.
7. Comfortable with prioritization, planning, coordination, and organization, with an ability to respond, adapt, and work safely in changing, high-pressure environments.
