Midland Transport Limited is currently seeking professional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Drivers – US Triangle. The Driver can be based out of any major city in the Maritimes including, but not limited to Fredericton, Moncton, Halifax, Saint John and Charlottetown.

The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing Superior Quality Service.

Qualifications:

  • Education Required: High School or GED.
  • Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.
  • Eligibility to receive a FAST card.
  • Eligibility to cross the border with US.
  • Familiarity with satellite systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Must have flexibility to work various shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Running Linehaul from the Maritimes into United States eastern seaboard, into Ontario/Quebec and then back to the Maritimes.
  • Deliver freight to assigned locations ensuring timely delivery.
  • Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment properly and in a safe manner to avoid any damage.
  • Communicate efficiently with the central dispatch and customers.
  • Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulations: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation.
  • Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner.
  • Willingness to work linehaul legs into the United States, including New York and New Jersey.
