OCL Group Inc. is proudly 100% Canadian owned and operated. We are a privately held, employee-owned, fully integrated general contractor with design-build solutions across Western Canada. We have been serving the energy and municipal infrastructure markets since 2009.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for Civil Labourers to support a variety of construction and civil activities on-site. Candidates will be responsible for assisting skilled tradespeople, site preparation, material handling and general labour duties to support the execution of project tasks. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team working on a large-scale project in a challenging but rewarding environment. You will be working a 14/14 rotation. Camp accommodations and meals provided. Charter flights provided from designated hubs in Edmonton and Calgary.

Compensation/Benefits

• CLAC hourly wage depending on experience
• Payday is every Friday
• Company contributed RRSP & Pension contributions
• Benefits after 300 hours
• Paid training
• 10% vacation and stat holiday pay on regular earnings
• OT at 1.5 after 8 hours per day

Responsibilities

• Read and understand site-specific instructions prior to each shift
• Perform site cleanup, material movement and organization
• Operate small tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Work under the direction of Foreman to complete assigned tasks
• Follow all health, safety and environmental protocols and procedures
• Work in varying weather conditions and in physically demanding environments
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous civil labour in an industrial construction environment is an asset
• Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive tasks in outdoor environments and in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must have valid safety tickets: H2S Alive, First Aid, CSTS 2020 Fundamentals
• Ensure a safe team environment
• Adhere to all company and worksite safety and quality processes and procedures
• Strong communication skills
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Must complete a criminal background check
