City Hall Reporter

The successful candidate will have excellent research and writing skills and have a demonstrated ability to write news and features on the municipal and general assignment beats. Candidates must have journalism training and preferably at least two years of reporting experience.

The successful candidate will have a reputation for working well with colleagues and sources alike. The chosen candidate will be a self-starter, who can meet tight deadlines with ease. Photography skills and social media experience will be definite assets. The candidate should be naturally-curious and have a digital-first mindset. Writing for both digital and print platforms is required. Reporters must file daily and meet the daily deadlines for digital.

Applicants must have a driver’s license, a vehicle, and a clean driving record. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
