Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity
We have an opportunity for a 12-month fixed-term Child Immunisation Improvement Nurse in our Waikato team.
Our new immunisation improvement team aims to improve immunisation coverage and ensure the families in the Waikato region have access to services to empower them to make informed decisions regarding immunisation. A key objective of our service is to improve immunisation coverage for Māori and Pacific children, and other priority groups with high rates of vaccine preventable disease and low immunisation rates.
We are looking for a skilled registered nurse to join our immunisation improvement team. In this role you will work collaboratively with development managers, nurse leads and the Waikato District Manager to innovatively plan and implement immunisation improvement initiatives.
This role will get you out and about in the community, working with general practices and partners.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys engaging with people, building positive relationships, and reducing health inequity for our Māori and Pacific children.
